Photo Gallery: Berlin Wall

East Side Gallery Berlin Wall

A few photo ops during my walk down the Berlin Wall East Side Gallery. The Berlin wall was built on August 13, 1961 to separate the west from the communist East during The Cold War. The East claim that it was built to keep Western “fascists” out, but in fact they were mad that their people were fleeing to the West for a more free life, typical haters! The West side was open to every one so there were no restrictions as to what artists can do, however the controversial art have been removed. The East side was left blank because people weren’t even allowed to get close to the wall in fear that they might flee. Since the fall in November of 1989 most of the wall have been removed but it still displayed in Berlin in the East Side Gallery and other parts.
